How to apply for TNEA counselling 2020 | Online Registration Started - Best Online Training Institute



Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) conducts Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for UG admissions in engineering and technology in the colleges of Tamil Nadu.Online registration for TNEA counselling 2020 started on July 15.The admission is based on your +2 marks and those who are planning to get admission in B.Tech courses in private and government engineering colleges will have to participate in this counselling process. How to Apply Online For TNEA Counselling
To fill the application form for TNEA 2020 you have to follow the below explained instructions stepwise.
  • Visit the official website of TNEA( www.tneaonline.org)
  • Click on ‘New User Registration’ link.
  • Enter your name,mobile number, email-id and password(self-created).
  • After submitting all the details, the candidates will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS on their mobile, and also receive an e-mail.
  • After successful registration, candidates can log in easily with their username and password.
  • Candidates have to fill their personal details and academic details that are asked in the application form.
  • You can verify all the details given in the form by using preview button after filled the application form online.
  • You must take a printout of the application form that you have filled.
Application Fee Payment
Candidates can pay the fee via online mode, they have to pay 500Rs (for general category) and 250Rs (for reserved category). The candidates will see three options to pay fees -
1.Payment Gateway (IOB)
2.Payment Gateway (Indian Bank)
3.Payment Gateway 
Those who choose the first two options will have to pay the application fee digitally by using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking facility.And If you choose Option 3,you will have to pay the registration fee at the Facilitation Centre.

TNEA 2020 Counselling
DoTE will publish the TNEA 2020 Rank/Merit List in the third week of June. The authority creates the rank list based on the percentage that candidates have scored in 10+2 examination.
The online counselling will start in the 1st week of July 2020.
During the counselling,the colleges were allotted to the candidates.
Candidates were required to pay the initial deposit of 5000Rs (for general category) and 1000Rs (for SC/ST/SCA category) as the counselling fee.They can make the payment in cash or DD.

Candidates will receive the ranks based on the merit through the rank list.Selected candidates have to download the counselling call letter.Candidates have to go for single-window counselling on the prescribed date, time and venue.

Documents Required During Counselling
Candidates need to show their original documents during counselling for verification. The documents required during the process of counselling are as follows:
  • Class 10th and class 12th Certificate and Mark sheet
  • Identity proof
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Counselling call letter
  • Six passport size photographs
Candidates have to fill the college choices from the given institutions for B.Tech programs in order of their priority.Based on merit, reservation and choice filling, the candidates are allotted seats. After this, the candidates must collect the allotment order. After verifying the allotted college, candidate have to report to the
college and get enrolled before the last date.
